Way late to this party, but I also had very good luck with the SEM Paint. I did my entire interior with it (changing from green to black) and it worked excelelnt.
What I've learned painting and clear coating paint is that you need to use the same manufacturer for both parts. I've found the different solvents used by different companies don't work well together - some cause the previous paint later (even if totally cured) to wrinkle up and blister.
Overall I've had the best luck with Krylon paint. To me it has the best coverage and I like the sheen of their satin paints.
I'm surprised you don't have an autoparts store in your neck of the woods that stocks stuff like this. The shipping is brutal!
Someday I'll finally be able to drive my Vette, but for now I'll just admire all the pieces...
