Well, the good news is the frame appears to be in pretty good shape without a lot of rust. Based on the VIN it's a 1970, but back then the VIN didn't give the exact engine size. However, based on the photo of the trim tag you showed it looks like the car came with the standard 350 (300 hp, 380 ft-lb torque). The original color was daytona yellow and the interior was black leather.

That said, the car needs LOTS and LOTS of work! I don't know what Corvettes go for over in Europe, but I'd guess a car in that condition would go for about $1-$2k US here in the states. It looks like it needs plenty of body work, the motor probably needs a complete rebuild, the wheels aren't original, the interior is mostly missing, the bumpers are missing, etc.... All of those components will cost a significant amount of money to replace\fix, even if you're planning to by reproduction parts instead of original parts.

I'd say keep looking for a better deal, but good luck with whatever you decide!

Tim
Someday I'll finally be able to drive my Vette, but for now I'll just admire all the pieces... :willy:

I agree, thats amost a breaker, there are some nicer examples out there to work on, in terms of engine, the valve covers normally give away a SBC and BBC engine, they look like small block, but i 'think' the SBC were 190 and 210hp? maybe had an engine swop? ask for teh engine number and cross ref the number on the net.

the car belongs to a woman.
she wants to sell 10 800 $!!!!!!!
I offered him $ 2 700

she refused on the grounds that the car is rare, and it is a small block .....

oh well, I'll redo my 76 and then I'll sell it to buy a model 72
