Project update

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I'm still alive. It's been an extremely busy summer so far - we're adding a farmers porch onto the house and have been spending lots of time planning and building it. It hasn't left much time for the vette, or for hanging out online, but hopefully I'll get another updated posted before too long.

In any case, just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive and kicking. I know I've been MIA around here lately...

Glad to hear that your alive and busy. Probably a bit warm in the garage anyway :D

Same chit here. Got the walls up, now starting on the steel trusses. Had to import marine grade plywood from the mainland. should have at least the plywood on the trusses by end on month.

Going stateside in July for a shopping spree

Went to start the Vette yesterday, turned the key and all I got was a click  Battery is dead and at $166 for a replacement here :ack:

Enjoy the Summer. highs here are in the 80s and the lows are in the 70s

Thanks Vito. We both have pretty big non-Vette related projects going. Glad to hear your garage is coming along pretty well. It's actually a lot drier in the garage than outside lately. It's been a very wet June so far. :ack: Oh well, working in the rain builds character, right?

Sill alive, just trying to stay warm. The last week was brutally cold - on Thursday the high temp for the day was zero degrees. As you can imagine my unheated garage isn't exactly a great place to work right about now. It looks like it's warming up for a few days though. Supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow but then back down to the 20's for the rest of the week.

I took a bit of time this weekend and started cleaning up the basement. I'm clearing out some areas in the basement so I can start doing some work on the interior. It's warmer down there than in the garage so I figure it'll be a good place to do some of the detail work.

I should be back at it before too long!

Hope everyone elses projects are going along more quickly than mine at the moment.

Well wait no longer! I've finally been able to get my new update posted. :Hurray:

Here's a link: http://www.corvette-restoration.com/res ... y_drop.htm

I know updates have been far and few between these days, but spare time just seems to be harder and harder to find. Between other projects at the house, the family and an insane work schedule I just don't have the time I used to.

Anyway, enjoy! It's definitely nice to have the body and chassis back together again.

SWEET! When was that all done? It doesn't look like a Maine winter in those photos...

Hopefully that'll motivate me to get off my lazy butt and start working on mine...
