The Camaro has been in the garage for 7-1/2 years with no preparation for storage. We backed it in for the winter back in the fall of 2002 and never bothered to pull it out in the spring - or the next seven springs for that matter. I pulled and cleaned the plugs, poured some Marvel Mystery Oil into the cylinders and hand turned the crank with a socket/breaker bar to ensure the pistons were free and got some lubrication. After an oil and filter change, I reinstalled the plugs and the battery from my pickup. It still had almost a full tank of gas and after a few shorts cranks to get the oil flowing, I tried starting it. It roared to live again on the second or third try!!
It sure looks better out of the garage and with all the dust washed off. Now if I can only find a buyer - I'd be one step closer to getting my '71 vette across country and having the space to start its restoration!
