Re: master cylinder for hydraulic clutch
That seems expensive for a stock master cylinder. Is the cylinder different than stock? That price is probably for a brand new unit. Remanufactured are less - in the range of $100-$200. Check out Ecklers, Paragon, or another Corvette Parts house. Good luck!

Merry Christmas! It almost felt like Hawaii here in Maine yesterday - over 50 degrees but raining. By this morning the rain and warmth had pretty much melted away all the 18" of snow we got last week.

Re: Broken machine screws on headlight surround on my 74 C3
I'm having to deal with the same thing on mine. I haven't done it yet, but I plan to drill out the broken screws and re-tap them. It's going to be a pain though - the location of the holes needs to be located accurately or nothing will line up. I've intentionally been putting that project off. For t...

Re: Rear clip removal
I removed the rear clip on my 71. I'm not sure how similar the details are, but I presume the process is about the same. It ended up being quite a bit of work. I took my rear clip off in pieces for a variety of reasons rather than one full piece. Doing it as one piece seems possible on my 71, but th...

Re: replacing tail panel advice needed
Hey Greg, I realize you've probably already done this by now, but I imagine you could fit the tail panel with the car either on off the chassis with the right planning. I did mine on the chassis with all the body shims in place since I wanted to tackle all my body work, door gaps, etc all at once. I...

Here's a link to my site with photos of this area from my car. It needed repairs so I ended up doing quite a bit of work. http://www.corvette-restoration.com/200 ... rs-part-1/

Re: 1972 BB Convertible in Atomic Orange Color
Hey Vito, Way late to this party, but I also had very good luck with the SEM Paint. I did my entire interior with it (changing from green to black) and it worked excelelnt. What I've learned painting and clear coating paint is that you need to use the same manufacturer for both parts. I've found the...

Re: '65 Coupe Resto-Mod and '68 Full Custom Restoration
Bob, Your car is looking amazing. I really hadn't checked in since the engine build. The finished product looks amazing. Your paint job is absolutely something to envy. I had started getting some prices before I went on "hiatus" a while back. I guess the thought of dropping that much $$ must have pu...
