Can you replace the fuel lines from tank to engine bay with the body on the frame? I've always assumed one would need to lift the body but...maybe not?
Thanks,
Chris

Bent front bumper
My front bumper clearance is really wide at the edges and really really tight at the point in front. I believe this is because it was firmly nudged by a certain SUV. I'm assuming that it's the bumper itself that's bent, not the frame or mounting points, though I could be wrong. Having made this assu...

Re: Any tips for painting interior pieces?
I have no tips, sorry, but I'm really interested in your experience here. It seems so strange to me - even when calling it dye - to apply color to interior pieces. It has always seemed to me like the color of these parts is in them, not on them. And I just cannot imagine any way to apply a surface c...

Re: Bodywork question
I think the black primer over gray primer is known as a "guide coat", right? There is a great DVD set called "Paintucation" and a great body work pro's forum over at autobodystore.com. In the DVD, Kevin Tetz mentions a guide coat powder that seems to work really well. Sorry, I know you asked for exp...

Re: Lift Off! My 1972 Resto-Mod Begins
Just saw the post on the frame strengthening - interesting stuff. I'll have to look for a copy of that Chevy Power book you mention. Did you do any measurements/adjusting to make sure the frame was true/straight before welding in the gussets, etc.? Also - great example of forethought on creating the...

Re: Gas tank
That's interesting, Max, and dovetails with the early 80's ethanol changes I've been reading up on. Here's an interesting article for MG owners on managing new gas in an older vehicle - other than the specific carb adjustments, I think it applies to Vette owners as well. http://www.strohmautomotive....
